Ingredients:
Collagen hydrolysate (75%) = 10 g, sodium glucosamine sulfate from crustaceans, acidity regulator citric acid, chondroitin sulfate sodium, carrageenan polysaccharide from algae, flavorings (orange, lemon, grapefruit), orange fruit powder, lemon fruit powder, vitamin C, vitamin E, manganese sulfate, sweetener sucralose, colorant beta-carotene.

Targeted nutrition of collagen tissue
During periods of increased physical exertion, when tissue building and breakdown are no longer in balance, overuse injuries can occur. Partial or even complete tears of, for example, the Achilles tendon, are a consequence. In this case, supplementing with substances essential for tendon nutrition can alleviate pain and increase resilience.

The natural active ingredients collagen hydrolysate, chondroitin sulfate, and glucosamine sulfate are important for tissue nutrition, particularly for collagen in tendons, cartilage, ligaments, and skin. Since the regeneration of these connective tissues is a very slow process, taking collagen hydrolysate, chondroitin sulfate, and glucosamine sulfate over a longer period of at least 3 to 4 months is recommended.

CollagenCollagen is a structural protein of connective tissue found in humans and animals. In the human body, collagen is the most abundant protein, comprising over 50% of the total protein weight. It is the organic component of bones and teeth, and the essential component of tendons, ligaments, and skin. Collagen fibers possess enormous tensile strength and extremely high elasticity. Collagen is readily absorbed by the body in the form of collagen hydrolysate. The optimal dosage is 10 grams per day. Collagen hydrolysate is composed of amino acids, with the amino acid combination proline-hydroxyproline-glycine being very common.

Proline & HydroxyprolineProline is contained in collagen hydrolysate. It is one of 19 amino acids that we ingest daily through our diet. Amino acids are the building blocks of dietary and body proteins. Every dietary protein is broken down into amino acids during digestion and then reassembled in the body according to its specific blueprint to form the body's own proteins.

CollagenCollagen is the most important component of our musculoskeletal system and is responsible for tissue stability. Depending on the quality of the collagen, the tensile strength of the tendons, the shock-absorbing function of the cartilage, and the elasticity of the skin are affected. Optimal tissue function (collagen quality) must therefore be ensured through proper tissue nutrition. Proline and hydroxyproline play a crucial role in the formation of so-called "collagenous tissues," which form the basic substance of tendons and ligaments. Together with other amino acids, proline and hydroxyproline form a stable network that is primarily responsible for the tensile strength and thus the resilience of collagenous tissues.

Glucosamine sulfateIt is an essential building block of proteoglycans, the proteins that bind water in cartilage tissue, allowing it to retain its cushioning effect. Together with chondroitin, it stimulates the formation of new cartilage tissue, strengthens collagen fibers, and simultaneously keeps cartilage-degrading enzymes in check. They work closely together to maintain healthy and functional cartilage.
The most effective and thoroughly researched form is glucosamine sulfate. The recommended dosage is 1000 to 1500 mg per day.

Chondroitin sulfateChondroitin sulfate is an important biological component of cartilage. It affects cartilage nutrition and should be taken at a dosage of at least 500 mg per day.

Vitamins C and EThese vitamins are essential for the optimal incorporation of amino acids into the ground substance of connective tissue. Without these vitamins, the connective tissue fibrils cannot form a helix, elasticity decreases, and the collagen fiber loses strength.

manganeseis an essential trace element that is involved in bone growth and the synthesis of proteins, among other things.
Of course, targeted collagen tissue nourishment therapy requires time and patience. Although effects are often noticeable after about 2-3 weeks, the course of treatment should last at least 3-4 months.

Why collagen hydrolysate?
Collagen is a long-chain fibrous protein that has the same amino acid structure as the collagen in articular cartilage and contains particularly high amounts of the amino acids proline, hydroxyproline and glycine.

In the form of collagen hydrolysate, it is the ideal source of building blocks for the important type II collagen found in tendons, ligaments, connective tissue, and articular cartilage. Studies demonstrating a significant improvement in joint function and a substantial reduction in pain involved a daily intake of 10g of collagen hydrolysate for 8 to 24 weeks.

Stimulation of collagen II synthesis
The effects of collagen hydrolysate on native cartilage tissue were investigated. A cell culture of mature bovine chondrocytes was incubated with collagen hydrolysate for three days. The cell culture was then incubated for a further eight days. Controls included trials with native collagen (gelatin) and collagen-free protein hydrolysate. In these trials, up to a certain amount of collagen hydrolysate was used.2.5 timesA dose-dependent increase in collagen II synthesis was observed.

Neither native collagen (gelatin) nor collagen-free hydrolysate showed a similar effect. Furthermore, it was demonstrated that labeled collagen hydrolysate actually accumulates in articular cartilage.
